Caring for your saree.

Always check the care note on the product page first; embellished and handwoven sarees may need special care.

Silk and zari

• Dry clean only, to protect the sheen and the zari.
• Store folded in a muslin cloth, away from direct sunlight and damp.
• Refold every few months along new lines so the weave doesn’t crease permanently.

Georgette, chiffon and crepe

• Dry clean, or hand wash gently in cold water if the care note allows.
• Don’t wring; roll in a towel and dry flat in the shade.
• Steam, or iron on low heat with a cloth in between.

Cotton and linen

• Hand wash separately in cold water for the first few washes.
• Dry in the shade to keep the colour; iron while slightly damp.

Satin

• Dry clean recommended. Iron on the reverse on low heat.
